Jijo Sunny: not at all, makes sense to consider these together. For what it's worth, giving the option to see some of these stats in BMC itself would provide a more privacy-preserving way of seeing which sources drive most of the donation traffic. A small project might have 2-3 places where the BMC button can be found and, for at least some cases, it would be good enough to be able to flexibly tag the link with a referrer code instead of including a full tracker and sending a bunch of user data to Google or Facebook.

Evan Schwartz: Makes total sense. BTW did you see your 'View all stats' page? It shows a basic overview of the referrer sites and the earnings they brought in. Might be helpful for now! :)

But you can target the button "buy me a coffee" at your website with the pixel and create an audience.
